Meet the man behind the guitar.

Joe has been playing acoustic and electric guitar for over 30 years, and has been teaching for over 20.  He embraces a variety of styles from Rock/Alt to Jazz to Blues to Country to Bluegrass and anything in between.  A true student of the instrument, his ability to break down and communicate the art of guitar for students at any level and learning style, as well as his patient and nurturing approach with students has won him a distinguished reputation as an instructor.

Joe has played professionally for half of his life in a variety of bands.  He was a multi-instrumentalist in the indie rock band "Sexdwarf" as well as the lead guitarist for the Canadian indie roots/rock artists "King Roller". He has performed across North America (notably at the 2011 North by Northeast festival, the Kitchener Blues Festival, and at the Craft Beer Festival at the C.N.E

Joe has also opened for notable artists such as Jay Semko (founding member of the Northern Pikes), The Trews, The Sheep Dogs, Randy Bachman, The Sadies, and Sloan (among others). He has also collaborated with numerous other musicians and projects in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and across Ontario.

“Joe is a fantastic guitar teacher. My eight year old son thoroughly enjoyed his acoustic guitar lesson with him. He is positive, patient and professional. I highly recommend Joe. ”
